Methodologies, Tools & Techniques Workshop 2007

 

 

Dates and Location:  
The new date for this workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, 5th December, venue to be advised.

 

The format will be broadly:
∙ Contributed papers from Network members.
∙ Special postgraduate presentations.
∙ Poster sessions where appropriate.

 

This workshop will provide scope for the researchers in spatial analysis to demonstrate their approaches and techniques across all the disciplines represented in the Network. We are calling for papers at any level of analysis although a preference would be that the presentations are accessible to all researchers who might participate.
 
Researchers might present:
∙ Innovative technical approaches to spatial analysis with specific applications;
∙ Use of software in spatial analysis;
∙ Applied spatial studies in any discipline.

 

Paper format:
Papers should be around 6000-8000 words and be available prior to the Workshop.

Proponents of special sessions - demonstrations of software or program code should outline the documentation that they might provide to support their proposal.

 

Selection criteria:
The convenors aim to accommodate all abstracts subject to quality. In the event of us being swamped with abstracts and given that we want to avoid as much as possible parallel sessions, some selection may take place.

 

We will make the selection on the basis of innovation, applicability and broad interest to the participants. We will clearly not aim to exclude anyone who wishes to present.

 

Format of Workshop:
The aim will be to provide around 30 minutes per paper at least to allow more detailed analysis to be presented and ample time for discussion among participants.
